news-details

On March 25, employees of Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (NACKS) sent off the newly decorated NE363 at the outfitting quay  to celebrate the launch of the 125th 61,000-DWT bulk carrier.

The 61,000-DWT bulk carrier is the first new vessel developed after the establishment of the Basic Design Division of NACKS and the first vessel type with fully independent intellectual property rights to be built by the largest number of domestic monohull shipyards, winning unanimous recognition from the shipowners and charterers. Within eight years, more than one hundred vessels of this type have been built and delivered, which is rarely seen among the monohull shipyards in China.

The continuous and stable development of NACKS has driven the progress of the ship equipment industry in Nantong. More than 100 ship equipment manufacturers in Nantong have benefited from the cooperation with NACKS, not only gaining mutually beneficial results amidst difficult times, but also taking a remarkable leap forward in corporate management efficiency.
